X Rocker Debuts on Urban Ladder to Rave Reviews

This spring X Rocker returned to India’s retail market via the country’s largest online furniture and home accessories outlet, Urban Ladder. Entering India’s e-commerce sphere only three years ago, Urban Ladder’s non-traditional approach to the space — curated content coupled with delivery and in-home installation — has seen it rise to become the country’s largest online retailer, as well as one of India’s fastest growing companies, bar none. Urban Ladder presently operates in 12 cities and, on the heels of securing $50 million in venture capital in early April, has announced plans to expand its operations to 30 cities.

For X Rocker, this endeavor marks its second foray into the Indian marketplace yet first in e-commerce. Urban Ladder’s innovative approach to e-commerce complements X Rocker’s innovative approach to home entertainment and provides its sound chairs with a level of presentation and service typically unavailable in a traditional retail setting. Currently the X Rocker Tyler (known as the X Rocker Surge in the U.S.), which features 2.1 surround sound, AFM audio technology, Bluetooth and racing-inspired upholstery, is available exclusively via Urban Ladder in India.

Since debuting on Urban Ladder, the X Rocker Tyler has left a resounding impact on the market, garnering rave reviews from print, television and online media outlets. India’s Financial Times called the Tyler a “fantastically immersive experience” and “the perfect way to indulge yourself,” while New Delhi Television’s Byte Me program dubbed it the “Gaming Throne” and gave its viewers an in-depth look at the chair, featuring it in the lead segment of its February 27 episode.
